Avdiivka, a city once inhabited by 30,000 people, located next to Donetsk, has been the scene of intense fighting since 2014. With the large-scale Russian invasion in 2022, conflicts have intensified, leaving the city in ruins. In October 2023, Russia intensified its offensive, resulting in almost two years of relentless fighting, with four months of a particularly intense phase.
